Picture this (Utah Readers should read this!)

So, I've been doing my little brain storming thing that I love to do.. and I've decided it would be way awesome and wonderful to do an infertility awareness photos series. I would love to find at least a dozen or two couples throughout Utah, and even in Idaho, since I will be traveling there in the next few months, or even California, since I will be there in June. We are also extending this offer to those located in the Houston Texas, as we have a local photographer there willing to volunteer her services! Thanks Bridget!!
We are looking couples who are living with infertility, or have dealt with it at least one point through their relationship. It doesn't matter what the issue was, it doesn't matter if you have children or not, it doesn't matter if said children are biological or not.. I would also like to add, we will offer this to couple who have experienced child loss.

I will be working with my best friend B on this, we hope to finish photographing our series by October.

Please note that we will strive to capture photos that represent your story, and helps others to realize that infertility is real. There are real people experiencing this heart ache, and living with this reality every day.

*We will have model realease forms, and want to remind you that these photos will not be used for profit.* Aslo, this a free to those that are interested. There is no charge what so ever!*

For those of you willing to participate. As our thank you, we would like to offer you couple/family photos. Or you may save this gift for a later time to do something such as a pregnancy/adoption announcement, or even maternity photos. We can also do a version of "adoption maternity" photos. The ideas are endless.

Thank you for your time, and consideration in this task.

If you're interested in helping with this process, please leave a comment here with your email. I have changed the comment setting so that comments need to be approved before seen by everyone. So your email will remain private.

you wanna buy a sun dial?

Alright, not the best title to a blog.. But, When you see the last photo I have posted.. You'll totally get it, and have a good laugh. Just so you know. this is really hard for me.. I know you are probably thinking to yourself- What on earth could be so difficult? Well. For starters. It is probably the first time in a very very long time I have intentionally taken a photo of my whole body. For Secondly, I am putting said photos of my body up on my blog for all the critics of the world.. So, Yes. This is hard for me. But, honest to my word, and for my modivation, and more or less having someone to answer to. This is more or less setting my self up for success... or failure... Here is hoping to success!!

Pictures from all the terrible angles included... My best friend B, was so kind as to take this photos for me.. I can honestly I am very much looking forward to the 'after' photos..
At this moment.. I am not gonna be posting my weight.. Although I am sure you were on the edge of your seat waiting for those precious numbers... Perhaps later I will feel more confident in doing so. But, as of today, January 28th I am down 7 lbs from my start weight. Here is to hoping to more motivation, and to more weight loss. I am gonna go have a glass of water, and head to bed!!

So, wanna buy a Sun Dial?lol.

Thanks B

You gotta get one of these!

Okay, so recently my best friend B was over visiting, like always.. and We were getting ready to go out and take some family photos, and I told her she could use the greatest invention ever.. and I just happened to own one of them.

Yup, this little pupppy right here, has only one tempeture settting, and that is all you stinkin' need with this. I love my Chi. I can't use it enough. When I get out of the shower.. and actually take the time to blow dry my hair, nothing is better than using this amazing straightener. Usually these things retail for $100+ and I know what you're thinking.."Who in their right mind would spend that much?!" Well I certainly wouldn't... I stole it! NO, I didn't steal it. I used one of my other favorite things in this whole wide earth... I used KSL... and I purchased it for a steal at $50. One of the best purchases in my life. I have made so many converts to the way of the Chi... I just felt inclined to share that with the blogging world.

So, as I started this post, it was a homage to my Chi... Than I thought.. But I have a ton of things I own, that I LOVE! So, in no particular order...
My glue gun.. Seriously! When people talk about needing ducktape... I reach for my glue gun. Probably the best 2 dollars ever.. You can't go wrong with these. I use it for all of my crafts, and I never seem to run out of things this little beauty can be used on...
My hot curlers.. These things probably went out of style back in the 80's but surprisingly they are still making them. This is the only thing I wanted for Christmas last year, and hot-dog I got it! One of my favorite gifts. If you have never used one of these, You need to come over and try it out. It takes like 15 minutes.. Well for me it takes 15 mins. To put in your hair.. I have a lot of hair. Than you wait 20 mins or longer if you so desire. Take them out, and amazingly beautiful hair. So much easier than curling every section.
My coveted Canoon 30EOS... I love this thing. I got this as a gift from my padre. I use this thing all the time... Can't you tell I used my little point and shoot to take a picture of it? I love everything about this camera. My attachments, my flash.. EVERYTHING!!!!!! I am not saying go out and spend tons of moola on a fancy camera.. But, make sure you do research on what you are purchasing, even if it is a little point and shoot. You can always get the most bang for your buck.
My CamelBak water bottle. I cannot get over how much I love this. One of the best water bottles I have ever owned. I have converted a few people to this little toy a few times. Even I am a convert. I will take this thing every where, and the best part. No spill. BPE free, and one of my favorite buys.
My sewing machine... It's probably one of the cheapest sewing machines ever made, has very little fancy buttons, or stitches it can do... But, what it does for me is enough... I make a little bit of everything with it.. So far nothing has really fallen apart... If you are reading this, and I made you something.. and it fell apart.. I don't wanna know... Okay, I do, cause now I feel bad, and I can fix it for you... But, for me. It's perfect!
And last, but not least... My Ipod... I purchased this little guy on KSL almost 3 years ago. I bought it for $90. A steal. The poor kid selling it, had to pay off his cell phone bill.. His loss, my gain. I purchased it, so I could make mine and Jon's wedding playlist, and used it for our reception. It's interesting because, I can remember parts of our reception, and what song I could hear in the background... Like, I remember Etta James, At Last, was playing while we cut our wedding cake... Cute right?! I use this thing ALL THE TIME!!! When I do my hair or make-up, crafting, cleaning... Just all the time. Oh also, side not. My skull ear plugs you see in the picture. Buy some. They are like $20 a pair. But so worth it. My ears are far to small for Ipod's ear plugs, these things fit perfectly, and don't hurt my ears one bit...

I hope you enjoyed my list of loves, and likes, and franky things I just cannot live without. I hope it inspired you to add a few things to your Christmas list.. or at least go out and try a few of the items... Or you are always more than welcome to come to my house and try one of them... except my water bottle... Love ya to peices but don't want your germs... Alright well, I am off to clean, and dance the morning away with some good music!

Baby K

This is what I did over the weekend, I wanted to give ya a sneak peek. My friend Bri, had her beyond cute little girl almost two weeks ago, and I got the honor of taking some photos of her.

Now, I am super excited about this photo cause it was the one and only pic we got of naked K, before she lovingly soiled my white. handmand. hammock. Which we wrapped around her like a cacoon. Oh But I still love her, and she was adorable.

Bri, you sure do know how to make them!

Shame on Sarah

Yeah... I know... In my defense, I have been over the moon busy. Seriously. But, with all of the happenings I have been crafting, and getting things made. I am so thrilled with the things that I have been doing lately.

I thought I would share just a small project I am working on. Since I have been attending SOOOO many baby showers, and I know there are many in the future. I have been working on these adorable little pieces of flare, to a plan 3-ply diaper cloth/ "burp" cloths.

I was going to show you the link to this way cute item... But, for the life of me I cannot find it again, I can't remember what I used to search for it. Ugh. I hate that.

But, it is super adorable, and I perhaps I will have to do a tutorial now..

I think I need a vacation

Isn't that what they say when you move your furniture around?

Well, I am either wanting to travel, or I just really wanted to move things around in my house. I have managed to move every single piece of furniture in my house at least once in the past month. In my defense, I moved them because spring cleaning had to be done, and we painted. This being said. My bed needed to be moved, 1. to be vacuumed under, and 2. because I was craving change.

I must say, I love that it is on an angle now. Most of you probably don't know what it looked like before, but let me just tell you. I LOVE my bed at an angle. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull it off. It really brings the room together.

I think I need more pillows on my bed. Just a thought. Oh I think I have some extra fabric laying around.

Shame on me.

Yeah.. I know. I missed yesterday, but cut me some slack, it was a heck of a busy day.

If you were here, I would offer you some of these awesome brownies I made! They are super yummy!

I had enough time between, cleaning, laundry, and tending to little children... to make some fabulous brownies!

This post is obviously gonna be short and sweet, but I have another one for today coming quickly!

Happy Thursday!

about fregin' time!

SWo, for those small few of you have been to my house... you have probably noticed the big red magnet board that has been sitting on the floor next to my bathroom for almost two. whole. years...Yes, I am proud to say, it is finally hanging up on my newly painted walls. I have a before picture.. But, it's on my lap top, which is currently out of comminsion, due to the fact that the power cord is no longer charging my laptop.. sigh.

Not only is it up, and lookin' awesome, but I wanted to take the moment to brag about my awesome DI find. The picture frames that would a hidious gold when I purchased them. I sprayed them gray, and hung them with the letter of our last name. Oh and to explain the '9'... I wanted a random number to hang on the wall, but if we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for a reason.. We did get married in '09.

Yeah... I think we will just stick with the random number factor. It looks great. I have been so busy crafting and doing a few things around my house. I am started to feel like a little home maker.

Awww... isn't dat tute? Yeah, so on to Wednesday, I have a new little girl that I will be tending and I cannot wait!

into the 'spring' of things!

Oh man, even though it snowed like crazy yesterday, we still managed to have a nice enough day that I went outside and pulled a few weeds. It felt great! I have been so motivated lately to get things done around my house. I have litterally crafted myself out of crafts... I am now looking for new projects. So, if you have any suggestions, please tell me.. I am dying. I want to make SOMETHING!!!

Now onto the photo, I know what you came for... My powerful charisma right? At least I hope.

The photo today is that of a little peek of a craft I made. I can't show it all the way yet, since it is a gift for someone... BUUUUTT... next week, I will post a photo of the whole thing... unless said person doesn't like the gift... then I will be featuring a garbage can. Although, it would be terribly rude of said person, to hate said gift. At least in front of my face.

I hope she likes it... Happy Monday, here is my kick off to a great week!

what the snow?

Oh good heavens, could we get any more snow? That was retorical, of course we could... But I wish we wouldn't..

At least I have a little bit of spring in my house, in fact I just picked up the cutest little flower pot, with beautiful pink flowers in it. Yes, Spring is in the air, I cannot wait for it to stop snowing, and for the warm weather to stick. Although, not at the risk of the spring dropoff causing a flood. That would be no beuno.

So, on to a new week, and new blogs, and a whole lot of adventures.

GAH! Fail....

I know, I know, I said I would be on here to post another blog for Friday... then today got away from me.. I left my camera in the car, and although I asked my dear husband a few times to go grab it... alas... it was too late.

But recap, Friday was a great day, I was so busy, babysitting, and then we had some friends over, I spent nearly 7 hours crafting with my bestie Bri... Wow!

It was soooo much fun, and I got a lot accomplished.. although it has to wait since some of the items are gifts.. or tutorials. Either way, it's good!

I want to post a couple of photos today, in honor of my bestie Bri, Congratulations on your little girl, we cannot wait to meet her!

Bri is probably gonna kill me, since the first photo I am putting up is of her standing and waiting while I test the lighting... lol, she is too cute. I, needless to say, LOVE it. Too cute!

I was gonna post an awesome photo today, but I guess, I will post that one tomorrow with my other photo... Oh man, are you guys lucky, I must really love ya if I am willing to go to such great lengths to lug around my camera, and I tell you what... it is not a light camera.

Alright, welcome to April, altough my welcoming is a little late... Don't hate me.

he loves me, loves me not

It was an unfortunate Valentines day this year, seeing as how I spent the day drugged up, and sleeping the day away.. In between helping my mother with a class party for my little brothers sixth grade class, and pretending to be semi-conscious. These fabulous flowers above, were a treat my husband brought home for me, after running errands, cause yes, I scheduled visiting teachers to come to my house.. Oh man that day was a nightmare, I hadn't slept the whole night before, then I had to stay up to entertain my guest. Poor ladies. Sorry!

The flowers are still in perfect bloom sitting on my counter top, just in case you were wondering. Which is good, cause Monday, after getting back from the little class party I helped out with... my dear, sweet husband invited his best friend over. Don't get me wrong, I love his friend Steve-o, and we all get a long great, except when I want to spend a "romantic" day with my husband, granted I would have slept the day away, regardless. But, it's the matter of the fact that my husband, invited someone over, when we could have very well spent the day together, being sappy, and full of love. No worries, my husband made good, and the following day, we made our way to Salt Lake, stopping at Ikea, where yes, I purchased a wok, for just $5!!! Woot! Afterward, we journeyed more North, into Salt Lake, Yeah I never go here.. and honestly it's kinda scary, at least compared to my little neighborhood, it's something that just freaks me out. If you can't tell, I am not much of a risk taker..

Before lunch, we went and saw a movie, True Grit, not gonna lie, kinda really liked it. And of course, I had to use the bathroom after, and this is what I found in the rest room, probably the coolest hand dryer I have ever had the opportunity to dry my clean hands with. It's a Dyson hand dryer, and you put her hands down inside the mouth looking area. Yeah, it was awesome!
(sad that I am so impressed with the hand dryer, right?)

But, we went out, and my husband treated me to a great little restaurant, The Red Iguana. If you have never been I highly recommend it. Plus, their doggy bags, are biodegradable.

This was my dish, it was huge, and there is a second plate off to the side you can't see. It was super yummy, and just as good when I reheated it later. Yum!

Also, just FYI, spiciest house salsa, I have ever had in my life. Which only made it that much better.

All, in all. My husband made up for the lack of lovin' on Monday, and I can say I truly enjoyed our Valentines day this year. Can't wait for 50+ more years of them. Love you Jon!

pictures I promised

So, I am a little late on the follow-up but give me break, I've had a busy two days. Enjoy! and I realized as I was putting them up... I am in love with vertical photographs. Don't judge me.

Just so you are aware, this is the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, in American Fork, UT. I love this temple, it truly is a sight to see as you drive through Utah valley. It is the tallest thing here... well besides our mountains.

This is my bestie J, it's awesome to have a friend who has the same interest as you do. Man I got lucky with my friends!

These last two, are of a bird house in my backyard. If there is one thing my dear Mommy-in-law loves, that is her birdhouses. Needless to say, I love them too!
